About this tour

  • After picking you up at the hotel or boat where you are staying, we will leave the historic center behind to head to the Aswan Dam.
  • The Aswan Dam is a mega construction from the 20th century, completed in 1970 and built to save Egypt from the annual floods caused by the Nile, the longest river in the world.
  • Our next stop will be the Unfinished Obelisk, located in a red granite quarry exploited during the time of Queen Hatshepsut.
    • This obelisk was designed with the aim of being the largest obelisk in Ancient Egypt, 42 meters high and weighing 1,200 tons.
  • Leaving the quarry behind, we will head to the island of Agilika, between the old and the new Aswan Dam, where the beautiful Temple of Philae is located.
    • This temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis and is one of the 4 places where the legend of Isis, Osiris, and Horus takes place.
  • After the tour, we will take you back to the starting point.
