We leave by modern and air-conditioned car in the direction of the historic neighborhood of Kalifa to visit the Sultan Hassan Mosque and the Rifaai Mosque, known as the twin mosques because they are opposite each other and are very similar although they were built in different centuries. Afterwards, we continue our way to visit the famous Mosque of Ibn Tulun, which is located in the historic neighborhood of Sayeda Zainab. It is the largest mosque in Cairo in extension. Built around the 9th century, it has a great oriental influence due to the abundance of arches and domes. Then we drive to the area of Old Cairo to visit the Church of St. Sergius and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Our trip ends with lunch at one of the best local restaurants and we return to the hotel.
