About this tour

• The tour leaves Aswan in the middle of the night, around 4:00 in the morning.
• We will pick you up at the hotel or boat where you are staying.
• Depart early to reach the temples first thing in the morning and avoid the stifling heat of midday.
• Enjoy a unique sunrise in the desert along the way.
• After about 3 hours of travel, arrive at Abu Simbel, the famous complex made up of two temples carved into the rock.
  • One temple is dedicated to Ramses II and the other to Nefertari, his first wife and favorite.
  • The construction took about 20 years and was done during the reign of Ramses II.
• The temples are excellently preserved as they were buried under the sand until the 19th century.
• The guided tour will last 2 hours, providing enough time to discover every corner of both temples and learn their stories and anecdotes.
  • Learn why the temples are preserved in an impeccable state, how they were moved, and what Egypt did in exchange for international aid.
• After enjoying this gem, return to Aswan, arriving shortly after noon.
