The tour leaves Aswan in the middle of the night, around 4:00 in the morning.
We will pick you up at the hotel or boat where you are staying.
Depart early to reach the temples first thing in the morning and avoid the stifling heat of midday.
Enjoy a unique sunrise in the desert along the way.
After about 3 hours of travel, arrive at Abu Simbel, the famous complex made up of two temples carved into the rock.
- One temple is dedicated to Ramses II and the other to Nefertari, his first wife and favorite.
- The construction took about 20 years and was done during the reign of Ramses II.
The temples are excellently preserved as they were buried under the sand until the 19th century.
The guided tour will last 2 hours, providing enough time to discover every corner of both temples and learn their stories and anecdotes.
- Learn why the temples are preserved in an impeccable state, how they were moved, and what Egypt did in exchange for international aid.
After enjoying this gem, return to Aswan, arriving shortly after noon.
